Carlo Collodi’s much-loved tale comes vividly to life in this enchanting outdoor musical performance from Illyria.
Since its publication in 1883, Pinocchio has become one of the world’s most widely translated and enduring stories. At its heart is a simple wish and a great adventure: when the toymaker Geppetto carves a puppet from a piece of wood, he unleashes a whirlwind of mischief, wonder and discovery. Longing for freedom and belonging, Pinocchio sets off in search of excitement, only to find that the world is full of dazzling distractions and hidden dangers.
As he stumbles through one escapade after another, Pinocchio begins to learn that courage, honesty and compassion matter more than bravado. In Collodi’s hands, his journey from wooden puppet to real boy becomes a powerful coming-of-age story: a tale of transformation, shaped through trials, mistakes and hard-won wisdom.
Full of music, character and theatrical charm, Illyria’s Pinocchio promises a magical summer evening of storytelling beneath the open sky.
