Welcome

The Sherborne Workspace (TSW) blends historic heritage with modern, flexible workspaces designed to support creativity, focus, and wellbeing. By joining as a Passholder or booking any Sherborne House Enterprises Ltd (SHE) facility, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”), together with the Acceptable Use Policy for the Passholders’ Site.

TSW offers a collaborative, professional environment for individuals, teams, and creatives to thrive.

1. Passholder Overview

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding contracts.

  • If applying on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company to these Terms.

Space & Facilities

  • Approx. 50.01 m² with capacity for 12 users.

  • Layout: Two long tables + one central table.

  • Facilities: Plug docks (4 UK sockets + USB) per table, lamps, breakout area.

  • Induction: All Passholders must attend an induction session with the Workspace Management Team before using the space.

  • Access: Smartphone keyless entry during Passholder hours. For fire safety, all Passholders and guests must sign in and out on each visit.

2. Passholder Types & Fees

Passholder types

Full Time

  • £250/month (+VAT)

  • Access: Mon–Sat 9am–6pm; Sun 10am–4pm; Bank Holidays 10am–4pm

  • Closed: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day

Three Day Week

  • £200/month (+VAT)

  • Access: Three pre-booked days/week during Full Time hours

  • Same closure dates apply

Day Pass

  • £30/day (+VAT)

  • Access: Mon–Fri 9am–5pm

  • Same closure dates apply

Key notes

  • Passes are non-transferable.

  • Passholders may only work from desks/spaces assigned to their Pass Type; the layout may be reconfigured as needed.

  • Passholders and guests must leave by 6pm on weekdays and Saturdays (Full Time & Three Day Week) unless pre-arranged with at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • Day Pass holders must leave by 5pm.

Payment & charges

  • Booking confirmations: All workspace bookings are currently confirmed by email via hello@thesherborne.uk, while we establish a new booking system.

  • Day Pass payments: Day Passes are paid at the Reception desk on arrival. On arrival, you will also be asked to collect an access door fob and sign in (and sign out when you leave).

  • Three Day Week & Full Time payments: Three Day Week and Full Time Passes are invoiced monthly in advance. Payment terms and invoice details will be confirmed by the team via email.

  • Additional charges: Any additional facility usage (e.g., meeting rooms and chargeable add-ons) will be charged in line with the applicable rates and added to your invoice (or taken at Reception where relevant).

  • Late payments: Late payments may accrue interest at 6% per annum.

3. Pass Commencement, Cancellation & Termination

  • Passes begin once these Terms are accepted and initial fees, identification, and payment details are received and verified.

  • Cancellation: Full refund with 14+ days’ notice before start date; 50% refund if less.

Term & renewal

  • Full Time & Three Day Week: Initial 2-month term; renews on 2-month rolling periods.

  • One month’s written notice required for termination.

Immediate termination

Immediate termination is possible in cases of insolvency, breach of Terms, or at TSW’s discretion.

Upon termination, Passholders must vacate respectfully, remove belongings, return key fobs, and stop using TSW addresses for business. Any remaining fees will be settled within 60 days, minus applicable charges.

4. Access & Guests

  • Passholders are responsible for their guests’ conduct. Guests must sign in/out at Reception and cannot remain after the Passholder leaves.

  • Children and pets are not permitted.

  • Meeting rooms require pre-booking for guest use.

  • Workspace closures: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day.

5. Meeting Rooms & Additional Facilities

Meeting rooms

  • Available half-day (9–1 / 2–6) or full-day.

  • AV (Meeting Board) is charged separately.

  • Pre-booking required; cancellations under 24 hours are charged in full.

Kitchen

  • Shared facility — please clean after use.

  • Allergy caution applies.

The Sherborne Restaurant

  • Open to Members & guests; bills must be settled the same day.

Storage

  • Lockers available (first-come).

  • No liquids.

  • Long-term storage by prior approval only.

6. Technology & Support

  • Internet/network use must comply with law and TSW policies; reasonable fair usage applies.

  • Passholders cannot install their own cabling or equipment without approval.

  • TSW aims to provide reliable internet but cannot guarantee performance and accepts no liability for connectivity-related loss.

7. Conduct, Phones & Security

  • Be considerate with phone calls; loudspeaker use is prohibited in shared areas.

  • Passholders are responsible for their own belongings. TSW is not liable for loss, damage, or theft.

  • Passholders are responsible for the actions and damages caused by their guests.

8. Health, Safety & Insurance

  • Passholders must not compromise safety and must report risks or near misses immediately.

  • No personal furniture may be brought in without approval.

  • SHE holds Public Liability insurance; Passholders should insure personal items separately.

9. Liability

  • TSW’s liability does not extend to indirect or consequential loss (including profits, data, business, or reputation).

  • Total liability is capped at the amount paid by the Passholder in the previous 12 months.

  • Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

10. Photography, IP & Equipment

  • Written consent required for any filming, photography, or use of TSW branding.

  • Passholders must not alter the premises, furniture, or equipment.

  • Equipment use must follow TSW policies. Personal equipment is used at the Passholder’s own risk.

11. House Rules & Miscellaneous

  • TSW is a non-smoking and non-vaping environment (inside and grounds).

  • Please keep spaces tidy. Unclaimed items may be disposed of after 14 days (or 24 hours if perishable).

  • Terms may be updated; current versions available via the website.

  • Force majeure, waiver, severance, and assignment clauses apply.

12. Notices & Referrals

  • Notices must be in writing, via post or email to the addresses provided in your Pass details.

  • Referrals: By referring someone, you consent to your name/email being shared to confirm the referral.
