A powerful assembly arrives in The Sherborne’s historic garden this September.
From Monday 7 September 2026, thirteen monumental figures by British Trinidadian artist Zak Ové will gather in a new formation created specifically for the historic garden. Exploring identity, visibility, resilience and the African diaspora, The Invisible Man and the Masque of Blackness creates a compelling conversation between contemporary art and The Sherborne’s historic setting.
The installation will remain in the garden for one year, throughout Sherborne’s year as Dorset Town of Culture 2027, and is free to visit.
