Art Buffet: Myths, Monsters & Marvellous Things

  • The Sherborne Newland Sherborne UK (map)

A half-term art buffet inspired by The Baron Gilvan

This May half term, The Pavilion will be filled with curious creatures, funny faces and things beginning to change shape.

Inspired by The Baron Gilvan’s strange and colourful exhibition, The Baron’s Metamorphoses: Myths for a Failing Admiralty, families are invited to drop in for a free art buffet of cutting, sticking, drawing and making.

Children and their grown-ups can explore self-led creative stations, making masks, crowns, mythical characters, changing portraits and marvellous little artworks to take home.

Come for ten minutes, stay for an hour, or settle in and let your imagination have a proper rummage.

Dates: Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 May
Time: 10am to 3pm
Location: The Pavilion
Price: Free drop-in
Suitable for: Families and children of all ages
Please note: Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Children’s lunch boxes will be available to purchase from the bar, alongside our usual light lunch offer, coffee and teas.

Donations are warmly welcomed and help us keep creative activities open to everyone.

Come for the art. Stay for lunch. Leave with your curiosity well fed.
