Join internationally acclaimed landscape photographer Charlie Waite at The Sherborne on Friday 4 September for an inspiring evening exploring photography, travel and the art of truly seeing a landscape.
Drawing on decades spent photographing some of the world’s most remarkable places, Charlie will share the stories behind his images and reveal the patience, curiosity and creative decisions that bring them to life.
Discover how light, weather and timing can transform a scene; explore the principles of composition and visual design; and gain a fascinating insight into the process of turning a fleeting moment into a memorable photograph, rich with atmosphere and feeling.
Whether you are picking up a camera for the first time or have years of experience behind the lens, this promises to be an evening that will send you back into the landscape with fresh eyes.
The bar will be open from 5pm, giving you time to enjoy a drink before the talk begins at 6pm.
Why not make an evening of it? Join us for dinner in The Restaurant after the event, where our chefs will be serving a beautifully considered seasonal menu inspired by the fields, gardens, hedgerows and coast around us.
Restaurant tables are limited, so advance booking is warmly recommended.
