ART BUFFET: Crack the Code

  • The Sherborne Newland Sherborne UK (map)

This October half term, our Art Buffet gets a cryptic twist.

Inspired by our Alan Turing exhibition, drop in and explore a table full of creative challenges where art meets codes, patterns, puzzles and playful problem-solving.

Decode a secret message. Create your own cipher. Experiment with repeating patterns. Make something from a set of curious instructions. Or simply see where your imagination takes you.

Alan Turing used mathematics, logic and extraordinary creative thinking to approach problems differently. Our half-term Art Buffet invites younger minds to do the same, using pens, paper, colour, shapes and plenty of imagination.

There’s no right answer and no single way to take part. Choose a challenge, crack a puzzle, make some art and discover what happens when creativity and logic collide.

Drop in throughout October half term.
Suitable for families and curious minds of all ages.

And while you’re here, visit our Alan Turing exhibition in the Art Room and discover more about one of the most remarkable minds of the 20th century.

Monday to Friday, 10am–3pm.
