The Sherborne Founding Membership Terms & Conditions.
1. Membership
1.1 Founding Membership is available at a cost of £60 per person per year.
1.2 Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
1.3 Founding Membership is available for purchase until 31 December 2028, after which this category of membership may be withdrawn or replaced by alternative membership options.
1.4 Membership is personal to the named member and is non-transferable.
2. Membership Benefits
Founding Members are entitled to the benefits advertised at the time of purchase, including:
Unlimited free entry to The Sherborne, including ticketed exhibitions where applicable.
Priority booking for selected talks and events.
Invitations to members' events and exhibition previews.
Quarterly members' e-newsletter.
Annual Director/Curator Update.
Recognition as a Founding Member until 2028.
Benefits may be amended, replaced or enhanced from time to time as the membership programme develops.
3. Events and Invitations
3.1 Invitations to members' events, previews and other activities are subject to availability and capacity.
3.2 Advance booking may be required.
3.3 The Sherborne reserves the right to alter, postpone or cancel events where necessary.
3.4 Membership does not guarantee entry to any specific event.
4. Membership Communications
4.1 By purchasing a membership, members agree to receive communications relating to their membership, including updates, invitations and member information.
4.2 Members may unsubscribe from general marketing communications at any time, although essential membership communications may still be sent where necessary.
5. Founding Member Recognition
5.1 Members who join before 31 December 2028 will be recognised as Founding Members.
5.2 Recognition may include acknowledgment in publications, online or at The Sherborne, unless the member requests otherwise.
5.3 Recognition as a Founding Member does not imply any governance, voting or ownership rights.
6. Refunds and Cancellations
6.1 Membership fees are considered a charitable contribution supporting the work of The Sherborne and are generally non-refundable.
6.2 Refund requests may be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of The Sherborne.
6.3 Membership may not be transferred to another individual.
7. Data Protection
7.1 Personal information will be processed in accordance with The Sherborne's Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
7.2 Member information will be used solely for the administration of membership, communications and related activities.
8. Changes to Membership
8.1 The Sherborne reserves the right to amend membership benefits, pricing and terms from time to time.
8.2 Any significant changes affecting existing members will be communicated appropriately.
9. Liability
9.1 The Sherborne shall not be liable for any loss, damage or disappointment arising from the alteration, postponement or cancellation of events or membership benefits.
9.2 Nothing in these terms limits liability where such limitation would be unlawful.
