Sous Chef – Join Our Kitchen Team

Hours: Variable, 32–48 hours per week (mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required) 
Salary: £14.50–£16.00 per hour, depending on experience 
Contract: Permanent 
Reports to: Head Chef

We’re looking for a skilled and creative Sous Chef to join our growing hospitality team at The Sherborne. Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll help lead day-to-day kitchen operations, deliver beautiful seasonal dishes, and play a key part in shaping our evolving food offering.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, ambitious chef who loves working with local produce, thrives in a supportive kitchen, and wants to be part of a cultural venue where food, art, and community come together.

What you’ll do:

  • Support kitchen leadership and lead service when required

  • Prepare and present high-quality, seasonal dishes

  • Contribute to menu development and creative food ideas

  • Maintain excellent kitchen standards, hygiene, and organisation

  • Assist with ordering, stock management, and reducing waste

  • Support catering for events, private dining, and seasonal feasts
