Events Manager

The Sherborne is seeking an experienced and imaginative Events Manager to play a central role in developing our venue as an events destination of choice in the South West.

This is a newly created position with real scope to shape and grow our commercial and cultural events offer. From private dinners and weddings to film nights, talks, charity events and creative partnerships, the role will help us make full use of The Sherborne’s extraordinary spaces, including our Grade I listed house, dramatic Pavilion, restaurant, private dining room and gardens.

Working with the Head of Hospitality, the Events Manager will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of events, while also driving sales, managing budgets, developing new opportunities and ensuring every guest and client receives a warm, professional and memorable experience.

This is a role for someone with strong events leadership experience, commercial awareness, excellent organisation and the confidence to help build something with momentum, quality and ambition. The Sherborne is already a thriving cultural institution with an established programme, successful hospitality operation and growing visitor base. This role offers the chance to take that foundation and help it flourish further.
